Course Description
The Aigues-Vives Academy offers an intensive and highly personalized program for advanced young musicians within the setting of an international chamber music festival.
The curriculum includes:
- Individual instruction
- Chamber music coaching
- Performance classes
- Public performance opportunities
Each participant receives a minimum of three individual lessons during the course of the week. The program is designed to support artistic development at a high level, with particular emphasis on chamber music and collaborative work.
All participants take part in chamber music ensembles. Groups are formed by the faculty, and each ensemble receives multiple coachings. Chamber works will be performed as part of the festival.
Participants will be informed of their repertoire and ensemble assignments upon acceptance. Materials will be provided in advance to allow for thorough preparation.
The final concerts take place on August 8. Departure is scheduled for the morning of August 9. Early arrivals and/or late departures cannot be accommodated by the festival. In keeping with the spirit of the festival, selected rehearsals and classes may be open to the public.
